A fourth-generation family owned Montana business. Central Plumbing, Heating, Excavation has been serving Montana business owners and contractors since 1946. We offer many services to our clients all across Montana. We are able to design-build any project. We fabricate and install mechanical systems for commercial and industrial plumbing applications. This includes all piping and HVAC work for each project. Finally, we offer a variety of excavation services for your needs. Our integrated services provide customers with the most practical and cost effective systems for their mechanical systems.

1946

Louis Waldenberg

Our founding Grandfather, Louis Waldenberg started a business in 1946. He provided a residential plumbing service company on Central Avenue in Great Falls, Montana. Hence the name; Central Plumbing and Heating. Like many hard-working Montanans, his main goal was to provide for his family. He also wanted a business that would continue to provide for generations. As the business grew, Central added commercial projects in plumbing and heating. Louis also added HVAC and underground utilities.

His business values of honesty, quality work, and strong work ethic was his philosophy moving forward. These values, along with the importance of employee’s and family, passed onto three generations of Waldenberg’s to continue the legacy Louis started.

1960

Vernon L. Waldenberg took over the company from his father, Louis. He added commercial plumbing and HVAC to the business services with the help of his four sons. With the influence of Vernon and Louie, the boys were around the business as kids. Through their own hard work, they each obtained their licenses as Master Plumbers.

1997

Mike and Dave Waldenberg bought out their Dad’s stock and ran the company together until 2003. The business focus was Mechanical Contracting and service and repair. Dave decided to open his own business in Kalispell, Montana. Jim stayed at Central as a Mechanical Foreman and has 30-plus years vested in the family business.

2003

Mike Waldenberg

In 2003, Mike became the sole business owner. As his father and grandfather before him, Mike’s two sons were always involved with the business. In their youth Jesse and Ryan worked alongside their dad learning the trade. Both young men graduated from Montana State University. Jesse joined the company in 2005 and Ryan in 2009. The fourth generation family business was moving forward. The business focus was to diversify the business around Montana.

2005

Jesse Waldenberg: Vice President – Great Falls

Jesse joined Central in 2005 as a Project Manager. He was instrumental in overseeing the development of their current 3701 River Drive North location in Great Falls.

In traditional form, Jesse grew up around the business and machinery. This experience was instrumental in his developing the Civil/Excavation Division. Central was able to offer complete site development capabilities for their customers. This service gave clients project conception from start to finish.

2008

By 2008, the company's reputation preceded them and they expanded their geographical location outside of the Great Falls area.

Between 1994 and 2007, Central strove to meet the demands of their customers. They moved their Great Falls location two more times to accommodate their growing needs. The business on River Drive North is where they remain today.
